When Simone of Simply by Simone asked me to participate in Bloomingdale’s contemporary spring fashion show, I jumped to the chance! “How fun!” I thought. It’s something I’ve never done and I’m all in to try new things, plus it didn’t hurt that I got to spend the day with the Westchester Blogger Babes.
The models were made up of real models and bloggers. This gave me the chance to meet some more WB babes that I didn’t already know. I’m loving our little crew more and more with each event!
When art immitates life…
This experience reminded me of the Sex and the City episode when Carrie walks in the fashion show as one of the ‘real people‘. That’s how I felt yesterday, but without falling on the catwalk and having Heidi Klum treat me like “fashion roadkill“. Though, I may have not minded that either! 😂
Keeping my cool…
I was trying not to think about being nervous and I was proud of myself for being able to keep that under control. Usually I would have a bit of anxiety over it, but I didn’t allow myself to stress about it, and it felt great! Bring on the next one!
I wore gorgeous pieces and walked alongside beautiful women with individual style that fits their personalities perfectly. I’ve linked my outfit below.
After our strut, some of us lingered and did a little shopping. We then headed upstairs for a late lunch. Trust when I tell you that I can’t stop thining about the coffee froyo I basicaly inhaled. I’ll be back next weekend for Simone’s denim show and froyo will be a must!
I wouldn’t have had such an amazing experience if it weren’t for Becky Ginsburg! She’s the amazing Marketing & Events Manager at the White Plains Bloomingdale’s location whom everyone simply adores her! Thanks Becky!
