I love to simultaneously exude comfort and personal style, so naturally I’m completely in love with the trend of wearing sneakers with almost everything. I know I’m late to the party and I’ve read numerous style blogs claiming that Stan Smiths by Adidas are “so over” and no one is wearing them anymore. Well, I’m wearing them. In fact, I just got my first pair. I’m a big trend watcher and I’ll apply the trends I love to my style, but I won’t let anyone tell me what I should or shouldn’t wear.
For a beautiful New York Sunday in early Spring, I combined a dark and light contrast with a lace texture that was both “dressy” and “sporty” given the classic sweatshirt style of the top. Distressed denim is always a go-to for me, and I added large cuffs at the ankles, mainly because these specific jeans have zippers on the side that dictated the length of the cuff.
While Rae Dunn hunting at TJ Maxx last week I found this bag that attracted me right away by the strap. I love items that are unique and different and this definitely was. I can’t find a link to the exact bag, and to be honest, I figured out the style is similar to a Gucci bag I’ve been praying to at night. If you happen to have some spare change lying around, go for it and spring for the latter. It is absolutely stunning!
The day brought along a light wind and I get cold so easily, it can actually get annoying, so I topped off my look with my long sweater duster coat from Forever 21 that I’m obsessed with and a Diana Rosh fur pom pom navy scarf from Lord & Taylor.
Found this wall in New Rochelle, NY and fell in love with our planet all over again.
